HOMELESS
2016 - 2018
Paris is filled with homeless people. So much that they have become part of the scenery. In a city that is so filled with luxury, we have become immune to this reality. Last december i decided to try something out. I walked around the streets of Paris with colorful signs that read different things and asked homeless people if I could take a picture of them holding them.
The question was simple : In the luxury market, products sell more when celebrities and influencers are seen carrying them. But, how would a artwork be percieved if this idea of "influencer endorsement" was reversed ? If instead of a fabulous celebrity, the first person ever to carry a 'product' was a homeless person ? Would it be as desirable ?
