The legend says that in order to become immortal, you need to capture human souls inside everyday objects and present them to the gods of Olympus. 

 

This first series of sculptures, entitled “Soul Traps”, are a mirror of the transitioning generation that the artist is part of. Every day objects, now considered “vintage”  or "Cult", are used to give a feeling of nostalgia to the viewer who is invited to reminisce of an old world before entering into the future.

These contemporary objects are embellished, destroyed or reconstructed to represent a subject, a subculture or a tribe, as if they were time capsules to a mythological universe and those who inhabit it.
